ABOUT ME
An Ideal Learning Environment
My name is David Thomas, I am a fully qualified PGA Advanced Coach and one of Australia's leading golf coaches in 3D & 6D Biomechanics, Trackman, Flightscope, SAM BalanceLab and SAM PuttLab.
I am certified across the board in all of the latest golf technologies and own and use these tools when required to help improve your game.
With 26 years full time coaching experience around the world I am a very experienced and passionate coach and enjoy helping all golfers from beginners to professionals improve their game.
I have worked extensively in all levels of coaching. Prior to coaching at Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre I completed my traineeship in Brisbane (1996-1998), becoming a full PGA member in 1998. Over the following years I held a PGA Tour Card (Australasian Tour) and resided in Germany from 1999 until 2016 where I taught at my own two golf academies. I have also worked as Head Coach at the Australian P.G.A in Sandhurst, Melbourne.
I speak English (first language) and am fluent in German. I hold a current Blue Card and am approved to work with NDIS clients.
I work at Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre, Gold Coast, Queensland.

I am also Director at Global Golf Tech Solutions, we manufacture protective casings and levelling and angle bases suitable for all major launch monitor brands as well as golf training aids. All products are proudly manufactured on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Improve your golf by combining a holiday with superior coaching while playing some of the best golf courses on the Gold Coast.
The golf school is based out of the world class Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre hosted by PGA Members David Thomas and Josh Smith, 2 highly accredited PGA coaching professionals on the Gold Coast.
Schools are available 7 days a week to improve your game and fit into your holiday program. Everyone is welcome, from adults to children (10+ years).
David and Josh provide a fun, intensive and personal golf experience while playing some of the Gold Coasts best golf courses. The golf school offers a range of schools from 1 to 5 days, with the 3-day school being the most popular.
The facilities at Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre are second to none and all coaches are PGA accredited.
With a maximum 4 students per coach, you will receive a fun and intensive day golfing while focusing on what’s important to you and your game. All aspects of the game are covered e.g.: swing analysis, bunker play, green reading, putting, short game and plenty of on course learning / playing.
Each day you will go with your Pro for an 18-hole playing lesson at one of the Gold Coast’s premier golf courses working on course management and ironing out any other game issues.
